January DUFF Meeting on Friday

The following announcement was posted on DUFF Facebook and copy/pasted here. (If you're not familiar with the Facebook page you should check it out, there's a bunch of club photos, discussion page, events, and it's a great place to interact with club members.) The meeting will start at 6:00pm at Mel & Sandy's near Lime Ridge - directions below. Please let us know whether or not you can attend so we know how many to expect.

and to plan for May, June, and July events and meetings - 3rd annual Big Brew? contests? fund-raisers? Also to enjoy the fruits of the hobby of homebrewing.

Let's think about a club order for Maibock ingredients? Perhaps both grain and extract for some basic ingredient kits that will save club members who don't normally buy in bulk some money? Saving money should be one of the advantages of being a member of the DUFF homebrew club! Has anyone made a Maibock beer yet? Do you have a recipe suggestion to share?

How about a club or local contest with the spring Maibock beer challenge?

Please bring a sample of homebrew to share, but don't be shy if the holiday season has depleted your homebrew stocks or put a damper on your homebrew effort. Come on out and get inspired! Ha! Ha! I have a 2008 Samuel Adams American Homebrew winners six-pack to share: Double IPA, Traditional Bock, & Cranberry Wit in addition to an apple wine that I intend to carbonate before Friday.

Food will be served as I think it's better not to sample on an empty stomach.

From Lime Ridge... 2 miles East on Country Road S.  From Reedsburg, south on state Hy. 23 to intersection of County S (about 3 miles). West on County S for about 8 miles. Farm on north side of road at intersection of Hy. S and Three Culvert Road.
