September DUFF Meeting

Just a reminder that the monthly meeting is coming up on Tuesday, September 8th, 6:00pm and will be held at the Pouillie home. The following is Clinton's invitation posted on the DUFF Group's web site, please join in there if you haven't already, so you can keep up with all the club talk. For those that are participants on DUFF Group and receive the posting notices, this email will just be a duplicate so kindly disregard.

Wow is it that time already?  Tuesday, September 8; Lisa, Naome,
Weston, and I will be hosting the brew meeting at our house.
Realizing that we could never compete with that wonderful spread Jim
and Kathy put on last month, we will have a light meal with some
brats, dogs, and munchies.  Bring your latest creations to sample and
we should be able to handle the rest.  I have a hop harvest ale I have
been saving since last year that I will bring out to try.  It was my
fist beer brewed with my own hops.  I really wanted to have a big brew
day this month but with all the busy schedules we couldn't squeeze it
in.  To start some thinking early I have a couple topics of discussion
this month.  Be thinking about:

•     Club booth at the Great Lakes Brew Fest
•     Best way for drying home grown hops, how do you do it?
•     Do you have to secondary ferment with ales?  Eliminating this could
same time for the busy brewer.

We look forward to seeing everyone.  For those that have not been to
my house directions are below.

From Mauston:  Take 12 & 16 south out of Mauston toward Lindon
Station.  Just as you get out of town take N to the left.  Stay on N
for about 5 miles.  You will come to a point where N takes a sharp
right turn (this is not the sharp right directly after the rail road
tracks) you want to go straight through that turn which will be 53rd
St.  Our house will be the 5th house on the left.  I will have our big
blue truck parked out by the road.  Our fire number is W3784.

If you are taking K to Mauston, when you hit 12 &16 turn left and that
will take you to N.  Turn right on to N and follow the same directions
as above.

Coming from Lindon Station take 12 & 16 toward Mauston.  As soon as
you get out of town turn right onto N.  Stay on N until you cross the
rail road tracks and drive over the interstate.  About 1 mile after
you go over the interstate N will make a sharp turn to the left, you
want to turn right at that turn on to 53rd st.  Directions are the
same as above from here.
